The Florida Republican Party has so far spent $300,000 to pass a state constitutional amendment that would limit marriage to “one man and one woman” and thus deny tax-paying GLBT Floridians equal legal status as citizens of this state.

Without equal legal status, GLBT Floridians are denied hundreds of opportunities related to employment, housing, health care, car insurance, retirement, and lower taxes.
